Plain language, no lawyer voice
We collect only what we need to run a video wall: your account details and the videos you choose to send us. We don't sell your information. You can ask us to delete your account and your videos at any time.
When you create an account: your name, email address, age, city and country. We ask for age because this site is for people aged 13 and over, and for city and country so we can show where singers are from.
When you submit a video: the video file itself, the title you give it, the category you pick, and the name shown alongside it.
Automatically: basic technical information such as your browser type and the times you sign in, which our hosting and login services record to keep accounts secure.
To create and secure your account and let you sign back in.
To review submissions before they appear publicly, and to tell you if something was declined and why.
To display approved videos publicly on the wall, together with the title and the singer name you provided.
To contact you about your account or your submissions when we need to.
Approved videos, their titles, and the singer name you chose are visible to anyone who visits the site. Treat anything in your video as public — including anything visible or audible in the background.
Your email address, age and exact account details are never shown publicly.
The site shows sponsor panels so it can stay free. We do not give advertisers your account details.
We use trusted service providers to host the site, store videos and manage sign-ins. They process this information only to provide those services to us.
We keep your account details while your account exists, and your videos until you or we remove them. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile and your videos from the site.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, and you can ask us to take any of your videos down. Email us and we'll take care of it.
This site is not for children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will remove it.
You own every video you upload — we never claim ownership of them or of your performances. What you do give us is permission (a license, if you like the technical word) to show your approved videos on wesingforfun.com, and to use short clips of them to promote the site. That permission lasts as long as your video is on the site, and ends when you or we take the video down.
You promise each video is yours to share: you filmed it (or the people in it agreed to appear), and any music you sing along to is played in a personal, just-for-fun way. You also promise the video doesn't include anything hateful, explicit, or illegal — we'll remove videos that break that promise. If a video shouldn't be online, we'll take it down.
